Municipal Elections

Orange County is home to 13 unique municipalities including Orlando, Apopka, Bay Lake, Belle Isle, Eatonville, Edgewood, Lake Buena Vista, Maitland, Oakland, Ocoee, Windermere, Winter Garden and Winter Park.

You must live inside the boundaries of a municipality to be eligible to vote in that municipality’s election. Municipalities bear the costs for their elections. Your municipal election polling place may be different from your Orange County precincts. Be sure to double-check for your correct polling place if you choose to vote on Election Day.

In all instances, the qualifications and filing requirements for elected office depend on the level of office being sought. Where a candidate submits campaign documents and completes the qualifying process is also determined by that level of office. Candidates running for municipal offices must file all required campaign documents and complete qualifying with the Municipal Clerk of the municipality in which they are seeking office.
