What do I need to bring to vote?

Early voting sites and hours vary from election to election. On Election Day, polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and you must vote at your assigned polling place.

Do I have to choose a political party when I register to vote?

When registering to vote, choosing a party affiliation is optional. If you do not choose a party affiliation, you will be registered with no party affiliation (NPA). The deadline to change your party affiliation is 29 days before any primary election.

How do I update my voter registration?

You can make changes to your voter registration:

  • Online at RegisterToVoteFlorida.gov
  • By calling us at 407-836-2070
  • On a Florida Voter Registration Application at a public library or elections office

You can also download a Florida Voter Registration Application (English PDF, Division of Elections Website) to update your information, and mail or drop it off.

If I voted by mail last year, do I need to put in a new vote-by-mail request for the next elections?

Vote-by-mail requests expire after each federal general election cycle. To continue to receive vote-by-mail ballots, you must submit a new vote-by-mail request each general election cycle, which is every two years.

How do I find out where my assigned polling place is?

You can find your polling place by visiting our “Check My Info” page.

When does early voting typically start for an election?

Early voting begins 10 – 15 days before an election. Note the locations, dates, and hours of operation vary.

If I arrive at the polling site’s closing time, will I still be able to vote? On Election Day, if you’re in line at 7 p.m. at your assigned polling place, stay in line. You can still vote.

What are the requirements to become a poll worker?

  • Be a registered voter in Orange County.
  • Attend a mandatory training class before each election (minimum of 3 hours).
  • Be available to work a minimum of 14 hours on Election Day.
  • Be willing to represent our office well in public.
  • Perform all duties for your position as assigned.
